Complementary Therapies

Incorporating art therapy, sound therapy, and mindfulness practices such as yoga and meditation to foster relaxation and self-discovery.

Physical and Recreational Therapies

Designed to promote overall health and well-being, these therapies include physical activities and exercises that are therapeutic and engaging.

Facing Your Fears with Exposure and Response Prevention

Exposure and response prevention (ERP) is a form of CBT that is considered the gold standard for treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

It is also used to treat anxiety, phobias, and eating disorders. ERP is a two-step process. It begins with exposure to the things that cause discomfort. Then you learn how to prevent your ritualized or compulsive response by becoming more comfortable with the stimuli.

Veteran-Focused Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program

At the heart of our veteran services is the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program, that goes beyond traditional treatments that foster transformative change and long-term results.

Our evidence-based, non-12 Step approach incorporates advanced medical solutions such as ketamine, psilocybin, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). The program spans 28 days and focuses on achieving complete abstinence from addictive substances through comprehensive medical detox and lifestyle changes.

Program Highlights:

  • Comprehensive and Holistic Approach: Spanning a 28-day treatment period, our abstinence-focused program emphasizes complete sobriety from addictive substances. We provide medical detox and withdrawal management, supported by a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, general practitioners, nurse therapists, pharmacists, addictions counsellors, and physiotherapists.

  • Innovative Treatments: Our arsenal of therapeutic tools includes cutting-edge treatments like ketamine, psilocybin, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). These advanced modalities are complemented by motivational enhancement therapies and recovery-focused psychoeducation.

  • Trauma-Informed Care: We recognize that trauma is often underlying challenges faced by veterans, hence our approach incorporates trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy for relapse prevention, and motivation enhancement therapies.

  • Diverse Therapeutic Activities: We believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. Our program includes peer community support groups (non-12 Step), art and sound therapy, yoga, meditation, physical activity, and recreational therapies to aid recovery and promote overall well-being.

  • Program Structure: Delivered primarily in group-based settings with personalized one-to-one psychological therapy, veterans benefit from a supportive community of peers as they navigate their recovery journey. Random urine tests and medically assisted treatments ensure accountability and safety.
