Our Psychological Therapies
Envision Mind Care & Research Institute offers a variety of therapies for healing and personal growth. Our skilled therapists provide EMDR, Hakomi, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Attachment-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). We tailor our services to your unique needs in a safe and supportive environment, empowering you to achieve your goals and nurture your well-being.
Healing Emotional Distress with EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy that helps people recover from emotional distress caused by troubling life experiences. EMDR helps remove any blocks in the brain's natural healing process, allowing clients to overcome emotional wounds. Through specific techniques, therapists guide clients to activate their natural healing abilities.
Mindful Body-Centered Growth with Hakomi
Hakomi Experiential Psychotherapy is a body-centered approach that connects body awareness with psychological growth. By using mindfulness, Hakomi helps uncover hidden beliefs affecting daily life. This gentle method allows these beliefs to be safely explored, then transformed, helping individuals find more satisfaction and effectiveness in life.
Understanding through Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma-Informed Therapy considers an individual's past traumas and experiences, helping them feel safe and empowered. Therapists create a supportive environment and focus on asking, "What happened to you?" rather than "What is wrong with you?". By being respectful and understanding cultural considerations, trauma-informed therapists promote healing.
Rewriting Your Story with Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy helps separate people from their problems by examining how dominant life stories affect their self-perception. Together with a therapist, clients explore societal contexts and alternate perspectives, empowering them to rewrite their stories for positive mental health and growth.
Building Skills for a Healthy Life with CBT
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, short-term therapy that helps people develop skills to maintain their mental health. Focusing on day-to-day challenges, CBT teaches individuals to question and change their thoughts and beliefs to improve emotional and behavioural reactions.
Facing Fears with Exposure and Response Prevention
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is an effective therapy for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, phobias, and eating disorders. ERP is a two-step process that encourages confrontation with discomfort-causing stimuli and prevents compulsive responses, promoting a greater sense of comfort and control.
Facing Your Fears with Exposure and Response Prevention
Exposure and response prevention (ERP) is a form of CBT that is considered the gold standard for treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
It is also used to treat anxiety, phobias, and eating disorders. ERP is a two-step process. It begins with exposure to the things that cause discomfort. Then you learn how to prevent your ritualized or compulsive response by becoming more comfortable with the stimuli.
