Registered Psychologist

Job Description & Responsibilities

The Registered Psychologist at Envision Mind Care plays a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our clients. The Registered Psychologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based therapies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the well-being of our clients. This position requires exceptional clinical skills, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Client Assessment and Treatment:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs, including diagnostic evaluations and psychosocial assessments.

    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing evidence-based therapies and interventions.

    • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, EMDR, ART, DBT, and trauma-focused therapies.

    • Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

  2. Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Care:

    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to develop comprehensive care plans for clients.

    • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress, treatment goals, and interventions.

    • Provide consultation to team members regarding psychological assessment and treatment approaches.

  3. Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards of confidentiality.

    • Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in a timely manner.

    • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures regarding record keeping and documentation.

  4. Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Care:

    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to provide integrated care to clients.

    • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning sessions to discuss client progress and coordinate care.

    • Consult and collaborate with team members regarding client care and treatment approaches.

    • Foster effective communication and teamwork to ensure comprehensive and coordinated addiction treatment.

  5. Professional Development:

    • Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and developments in the field of psychology.

    • Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and training programs.

    • Maintain professional licensure and participate in relevant continuing education to enhance clinical skills.

  6. Ethical Standards and Professional Conduct:

    • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards established by regulatory bodies and professional associations.

    • Conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner, maintaining appropriate boundaries and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

    • Uphold the principles of confidentiality and privacy in all interactions with clients and team members.

  7. Professional Conduct:

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists and in good standing.

  • Experience with  or knowledge of psychedelic treatments is preferred..

  • Current registration and licensure as a psychologist in the applicable jurisdiction.

  • Strong clinical skills and experience in providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

  • Knowledge of psychological assessment techniques and ability to administer and interpret assessments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong ethical and professional conduct.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
